Crazy Heart is a nice movie. It’s touching and sentimental in a good sense. Three main actors did a fantastic job, I don’t remember when I actually saw ACTORS on the screen, not some random extras.

It’s the story about a retired country music singer who decides to change his life before it’s too late. No doubt that Jeff Bridges got his Oscar according to his deserts. His performance is brilliant. But I think I’d rather watch Crazy Heart online sitting on the sofa because the movie is very intimate so you don’t feel like sharing your feelings with other people of a theatre.

Crazy Heart: wonderful movie! Not only the performances are excellent, but many other things are too. Picturesque landscapes, very beautiful shots, well-written script based on a novel by Thomas Cobb. People who like country music will definitely enjoy Crazy Heart as much as I did! Awesome singing and melodies.

Jeff Bridges portrays an old country music star who plays gigs in bowling alleys and drink hard. I love the actor but I didn’t buy into the broken drunk side of his character. The love line with Maggie Gyllenhaal is hardly believable, though she’s my favorite actress. They didn’t show their love sincerely. But there’s one thing that makes Crazy Heart worth seeing. Despite the fact I dislike country music and all that cowboy style, the music and songs are pretty good. I’d buy the soundtrack.
